After spending 15 years in the Netherlands, she returned to her roots to share the charm and culture of Sal Island with visitors. As a co-owner and tour guide, Mayara is known for her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and passion for creating memorable experiences. Tour met veredelde taxichauffeur zonder gids?? Volledig gebrek aan klantvriendelijkheid… We boekten een dag op voorhand deze dagexcursie voor 240€, voor een hele gepersonaliseerde dagtoer met ons gezin van 5. We werden op tijd opgehaald door een vriendelijke 'gids', Kendall, die ons liet instappen in een pickup (met Airco binnenin, dewelke eigenlijk enkel bij het begin werd opgezet ondanks de hitte). Na een tijdje kregen we een briefing, die afgerammeld werd, en quasi onverstaanbaar was. Aanvankelijk was er nog prettig contact in de wagen met bijkomende info, wel steeds op onze vraag. Nadien werden we bij elke ‘attractie’ afgezet met de boodschap hoeveel tijd we hadden. De gids bleef bij de wagen zonder bijkomende uitleg. Na de Burracona (bezoek dat zeer lang duurde doordat we er meer dan 1,5u moesten wachten) kregen we een menukaart in onze handen voor de maaltijd later in Espargos, terwijl we eigenlijk liever in Palmeira wilden eten, het vissersdorpje. Toen we dit zeiden, leek dit geen probleem te zijn maar werd er quasi niet meer gecommuniceerd. Er werd hoogstens nog ja of nee geantwoord, we kregen geen enkele uitleg meer bij geen enkele van de stops, het volume van de muziek in de wagen ging crescendo, en de rijstijl werd duidelijk ruwer terwijl er op de pickup achteraan 4 personen zaten… We werden wel tijdig gedropt bij het hotel. De 'gids' stapte niet uit. We kregen nauwelijks een ‘tot ziens’… We bleven achter met een wrang gevoel. De verschillende stops zijn leuk om gezien te hebben, maar we hadden wel het gevoel uitgewrongen te worden, met de extra kosten die op de verschillende plaatsen gevraagd werden, en door de poging ons ergens te laten eten met duidelijk overdreven prijzen (bv 35€ voor een schotel met inktvis)… De toer geeft een goede indruk van de landschappen van het eiland. Maar wij kregen niet het gevoel dat we alle informatie kregen die mogelijk was. Uit de andere beoordelingen bleek er ook een vrouwelijke gids aanwezig te zijn die zeer veel informatie gaf. Die was er bij ons jammer genoeg niet bij. We misten ook een bezoek aan Espargos, reden er wel snel door... Dit was géén goede tour, zeker niet voor deze prijs. En van het geduld en de empathie waarover andere beoordelingen het hadden, hebben wij weinig gemerkt. Bij het afscheid vroegen we aan Kendall boos leek, maar dit werd afgewimpeld, waarna hij zo zich zo snel mogelijk uit de voeten maakte.Posted on Google

Fez muito mais do que o esperado para garantir que estivéssemos sempre confortáveis durante todo o passeio. Ele falou tanto em português como em inglês para acomodar o meu parceiro, que não fala português, o que fez toda a diferença. Explicou tudo com muito detalhe e é evidente que conhece muito bem o que faz. Além de ser extremamente profissional e experiente, o Nelson é uma pessoa muito humilde, simpática e atenciosa. Também foi absolutamente incrível com as crianças. Quando elas não quiseram entrar na água para ver os tubarões-limão, ele ficou com elas, acalmou-as e cuidou delas com toda a paciência e carinho, permitindo que nós pudéssemos desfrutar da experiência de ver os tubarões sem preocupações. My family of five and I were enjoying our stay at the Rui Funana Hotel in Sal, Cape Verde, when we struck up a delightful conversation with some of the hotel staff. They were incredibly helpful and offered us fantastic deals for a private island tour—much cheaper than TUI! In the morning, we were picked up right outside the hotel, and what a great day it turned out to be! Our guide, Kendall, was a bundle of energy—hilarious and brimming with knowledge about every location we visited. Plus, he was more than eager to snap photos for us, ensuring we captured the magic of the day! We now have a treasure trove of fun and unforgettable photos to remember this experience for a lifetime. Edina V16 July 2026Perfect way to visit the island I really recommend this trip. It was perfect with the kids. We visited many interesting places in our own pace. The kids enjoyed the travel between the locations as well :) Our guide was very-very helpful. He explained a lot about the history, the current way of living etc. We didn't have to wait or queue anywhere. About the booking and administrative part: everything was quick and effective. It is fantastic value for money It was definitely not over charged and gave you the option to pay extra for certain things you may or may not want to do. The length of visit was good tour guide extended the visit slightly to ensure everyone got their wanted pictures. It was a lovely safe and entertaining environment. We had a great day! Our guide Nigel was fantastic, he was really helpful with the people in our group that had mobility issues. He was very informative making sure we knew everything about the island and its history while also making us laugh a lot. Nous étions deux et avons décidé de nos visites avec le guide (Paulo). Paulo parle très bien français. Il est agréable et de bons conseils. Il a répondu à toutes nos questions sur Sal et le Cap Vert. En termes de visites, nous avons particulièrement apprécié les Salines de Pedra de Lume, le village de pêcheurs de Palmeira avec ses maisons colorées. Nous avons déjeuné à Palmeira (assortiment des poissons grillés) ; on s'est régalé. Nous avons visité le gouffre de Buracona à l'occasion d'une autre excursion car nous avions choisi de commencer l'excursion à 9h30. C'est trop tard pour visiter le gouffre qui se trouve au nord de l'île et qu'on atteint en traversant une piste. Nous avons aussi apprécié d'être confortablement assises à l'intérieur d'un 4x4 climatisé (et non à l'arrière d'un pickup au soleil avec du vent et de la poussière).Posted on GetyourguideMyriam7 March 2026
Plutôt positif sur la totalité, c’est vrai que les guides sont gentils et que les spots à visiter sont intéressants. Pour votre descriptif, nous étions en minibus et non en 4x4, il y en avait 2, nous étions donc un groupe de 20, donc pas très individualisé comme mentionné sur votre appli. Wij hebben genoten van deze dag en veel geleerd over het eiland. Na afloop nog een leuk bedankje gekregen. Zeer goed en professioneel geregeld. We booked a private day tour of the island on a 4x4. We were so pleased with the day, it was absolutely perfect. We saw all the sights and Kendall (our guide and the co-owner of the company) was really knowledgeable, interesting and helpful, whilst also giving us enough space to enjoy it as a family. It was such a good day that we went on to book another trip with Kendall, and went for an evening turtle watching trip where we were lucky enough to see a turtle laying her eggs on the beach, before covering them up and swimming away. Logan Tours have a permit to enter the beaches where the turtles lay their eggs - and we had a really unforgettable experience. Logan Tours was also able to book us a buggy tour of the island, for the more adventurous among us, at short notice. Helen Adams26 May 2025We had a family tour with Kendall yesterday, booked using WhatsApp before even getting to the island and had the best day. My 18 year old daughter even said it was a great idea whilst sitting on the back of a pick up truck getting covered in dust, our choice by the way, there are seats inside too! It will be a memory we all hold close because of Kendall's knowledge and expertise. He provided amazing facts and showed us around the island with "no stress"! The tour itself is definitely worth the money as you see all parts of the culture and do things you never thought you would try. We all especially loved standing with the sharks in the shallows whilst they swam around our legs, though enjoyed every minute. We are a group of 9, we booked via WhatsApp and arranged the tour for the next day. Patrick was our tour guide, he was fantastic! Very friendly and kind! He showed us around the island and we made a stop for lunch too! The highlight of the tour for me was the lemon sharks! 🍋🦈 I would 100% recommend booking with Logan Tours whilst on holiday!
